The McLean County Recorder's Office encourages all parents to apply early for their child’s passport before the busy summer travel season.
Check out this helpful video – https://bit.ly/2I7pGJ8 – to guide you through the process. The video is just over two minutes long and has a helpful explanation on how to apply for a child’s passport.
Both parents and legal guardians must apply in-person with their child if he or she is under age 16. Applicants may choose routine service (4-6 weeks) or expedited service (2-3 weeks). Expedited service costs an additional $60.
