Vice Chairperson Curt Olson has worked as a law enforcement officer in both city and county political subdivisions in North Dakota for over 40 years, most recently serving 21 years with the McLean County Sheriff’s Office and will be retiring as Patrol Lieutenant in early 2025. In 2024, Olson was elected as Commissioner of District 2, serving Garrison, White Shield, Roseglen and Raub areas of western McLean County. Olson served as a McLean County Park Board member from 2017-2024 and as a member of the Garrison City Council from 2020-2024. Olson is a member of the North Dakota Fraternal Order of Police - Lodge #7; a lifetime member of the North Dakota Peace Officers Association where he serves as Chair of the Historical Preservation Committee; and serves as Treasurer for North Dakota Crisis Chaplains.
