Commissioner Steven Lee, a farmer/rancher in the Turtle Lake/Mercer area, represents the Third District covering the Turtle Lake, Max, Mercer, Benedict, Butte, Coleharbor, Ruso, and Wilton areas. Lee was first elected in 2002 and was re-elected in 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022. He is a member of the County Park Board, County Weed Board, Dakota Central Human Service Zone Board, Elmer Jesme Conference of Counties, Lewis & Clark Regional Development Council, and Dakota Prairie Regional Development Council.
