McLean County has recently updated its account with OnSolve, providers of the Code Red highspeed notification solution to add the Code Red Weather Warning service.
This no-charge update will allow message recipients to easily receive Code Red Weather Warnings that are issued by the National Weather Service who utilizes the polygon methodology to notify only the citizens in the path of projected weather warning (thunderstorms which can produce, tornado, flash floods and deadly lightning) in a timely manner. Code Red Weather Warning is an opt-in only service.
Weather Warnings can be delivered to a home, business, or cell phone number.
Opting in can be done by simply texting “mclean” to 24639 and following the prompts. Or by visiting the McLean County website at https://www.mcleancountynd.gov or https://accountportal.onsolve.net/mcleancountynd.
Those without internet access may call the McLean County 911 Coordinator’s administrative number (701-462-8865) or McLean County Emergency Manager’s administrative number (701-462-8809), either Richard or Noelle will assist you with opting in.
