McLean County, ND April 10, 2024 – McLean County has recently updated its account with OnSolve, providers of the CodeRED highspeed notification solution to add the CodeRED Weather Warning service. 

This no-charge update will allow message recipients to easily receive CodeRed Weather Warnings that are issued by the National Weather Service who utilizes the polygon methodology to notify only the citizens in the path of projected weather warning (thunderstorms which can produce, tornado, flash floods and deadly lightning) in a timely manner. CodeRED Weather Warning is an opt-in only service.

Weather Warnings can be delivered to a home, business or cell phone number.

Opting in can be done by simply texting “mclean” to 99411 and following the prompts. Or by visiting the McLean County website at https://www.mcleancountynd.gov  or https://www.onsolve.com/landing/sign-up-for-codered-emergency-alerts/

Caller ID should show the following numbers: 800-566-9780 for Weather Warning Alerts, 866-419-5000 for Emergency Notifications & 855-969-4636 for General Notifications. 

Those without internet access may call the McLean County 911 Coordinator’s administrative number (701-462-8865) or McLean County Emergency Manager’s administrative number (701-462-8809), either Richard or Noelle will assist you with opting in.
