NOW HIRING - Equipment Operator II - Washburn

The McLean County Highway Department is seeking one or more reliable and skilled Equipment Operator IIs to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate a variety of heavy machinery to support county projects, including road maintenance, construction, snow removal, and other public works. If you have experience with heavy equipment operation and a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement in the department. The new team member must live within 60 minutes travel time of Washburn. 

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position(s) is/are filled. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience, a high school diploma, and a Class A North Dakota Driver’s License with tanker and air brake endorsement. Starting base salary range is $52,613.23 - $57,752.76 per year (determined by experience). A full benefit package is offered including 100% paid health insurance (individual or family); employer funded participation in North Dakota Public Employee’s Retirement System retirement program; and paid vacation and sick leave.
