Patrol Deputy Sheriff
The McLean County Sheriff’s Office is seeking two or more dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Deputy Sheriffs. This critical role involves enforcing laws, maintaining peace, and ensuring the safety of our community. Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol assigned areas and respond to emergency calls.
• Conduct investigations and enforce laws and ordinances.
• Perform traffic stops and issue citations.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records.
• Engage with community members to promote safety and address concerns.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position(s) is/are filled. Preference will be given to P.O.S.T certified applicants with prior experience. A full benefit package is offered including 100% paid health insurance (individual or family); 12.45% contribution on employee’s behalf to North Dakota Public Employee’s Retirement System Public Safety defined benefit retirement program; paid vacation and sick leave; and professional development and training opportunities.
